Description

Finally, got this done. definitely took allot longer than i thought it would, but, got it done before my time limit anyway. so, yea, this here is the overall Reference to my Dream Doll characters. I'll be posting some stuff like this, presenting more and more of the world in which these guys live, until i make their actual wiki page. while making this, i did come up with a different idea for how to do this page but that will be done at a later time. for now, here's the primary info about these guys. Just a warning though! there's allot to cover.

Dream Dolls

Dream Dolls are living plush creatures created by the reclusive order known as the Dream Weavers (or Weaver's for short) for the purpose of fighting and consuming Nightmares. they tend to function as living dream catchers in a way, providing a good night's sleep to their owners and those around them. Dream Dolls posses human level intelligence and are fully capable of speech. Also like humans, they have different maturity levels when it comes to behavior, though they never seem to lose that child-like innocence. They will often tend to behave as younger or older siblings to their owners. each Dream Doll possesses it's own unique appearance and personality, so no two dream dolls are exactly alike. to fulfill their task of combating nightmares, each dream doll also cones with their own set of unique powers and abilities.

Physiology

Each Dream Doll is unique to one another though color and shape of antenna, and often times through various other physical aspects, despite that however each one stems from a basic template resulting in a number of features each one has in common.

-Dream Dolls typically stand about a foot tall on average with rare exceptions being a bit taller or shorter.
-They each have a large round head attached to a long torso with a pair of arms at their sides and ending with a pair of short legs.
-Their heads consists of two eyes, a mouth, and usually two antennae though they will occasionally end up with more.
-Each one also bears a button on their belly

Of course, those are only the traits they all share in common, various features of individual dolls can appear as a quirk, or as a result of a particular Weaver's design abilities.

Types of Dolls

Each Doll is created by one of nine Weaver's. where the basic design is common among most, each weaver has a different style of doll. these can either be in regards to how the doll fights, or how they end up developing overall.

Pure

Pure Dolls are the dolls created by Thomas Crane, aka, The Pure Weaver. As the designer of the original template, and the Dream Dolls themselves, Pure Dolls are the most basic, yet varied type of doll. though many of these dolls bear only traits of the basic template, some Dolls such as Steiner who has four antennae instead of the average two, can be found under his emblem. you could consider them to be your more commonly seen plush toys

Doom

Doom Dolls are the dolls created by the weaver Anette Simmons, Aka, The Doom Weaver. their name is derived from the fact that all of her dolls bear some sort of defect. for example, Henry was completed while missing an antennae as well as bearing a hole in his chest. though Anette managed to stitch it up, it wasn't until much later that she managed to create his other antennae. even so, it is off color and still bears the stitching upon where it was attached. when it comes to their abilities, they are usually unstable in some way and Doom Dolls need to overcome extra difficulties to utilize their abilities. they could be considered along the lines of factory defected toys.

Tech

Tech Dolls are Dolls belonging to Carver O'Neil the scientifically minded Tech Weaver. Tech Dolls are one of the three styles of doll with a heavy reliance on equipment to give them their abilities. Many Tech Dolls have electronics built into them which are usually visible. though Dolls like Pin may not have much showing, he has an entire network of wires just beneath the fabric which gives him his remarkable electrical capabilities. many of these dolls use fancy sci-fi looking weapons and armor. you can imagine them to be your futuristic or otherwise electronic action figures... in plush form.

Knight

Knight Dolls are the dolls made by Briana Taylor, the Knight Weaver. Knight Dolls are the second of the three doll types with a heavy reliance on weaponry. these Dolls are easily identified by often wearing medieval style clothing or armor and wielding weapons such as swords and spears. Sigfried is a prime example of a Knight Doll wielding a greatsword and wearing a helm as well as having remarkable martial prowess in combat. you can imagine these as the equivalent of your warrior style figurines.

Gala

Gala Dolls are the dolls belonging to the Gala Weaver, Suzanne White. These Dolls are typically designed around various types of celebrations or holidays and can be easily identified as such, especially since these dolls typically take on allot of detail representing the holiday they are representing such as the Valentines Day Dream Doll Barry. though it's not always the case, most Gala Dolls will utilize abilities related their holiday. They're sort of the equivalent of those holiday exclusive toys.

Glam

Glam Dolls are dolls belonging to the Glam Weaver, Simon Grayson. Glam Dolls are easily identified by their striking patterns (when visible) and somewhat different material than other Dream Dolls. they typically bear a smoother feel and have various gems or precious metals in their construction, such as Nemo's diamond button. in combat, their symbols glow as they use their abilities. Glam Dolls could be considered the equivalent of the more expensive high end dolls.

Elemental

Elemental Dolls are the dolls created by Louis Briggs, the Elemental Weaver. though they strongly resemble the basic template just about as much as many of the Pure Dolls, they can be identified through the the shape of their button and antennae resembling the element that they embody such as the fire doll Reece. in combat, they bear a strong connection with the element they represent and the majority of their abilities are related to it, often, though not always, able to turn into the element. they... don't really have much of a theme to associate with them.

Powder

Powder Dolls are the dolls created by Michael Boone,  the Powder Weaver. the name refers to the fact that each of his dolls utilize gun powder in some way weather it be fire arms, explosives, or even fire works. some even get gasoline involved This is the third set of Dolls with heavy reliance on equipment. Military soldier looking dolls like General Piper are common to the Powder Weaver though he has made many that are not like them. These dolls can be considered much like a modern military toy.

Beast

Beast Dolls are the dolls created by the Beast Weaver, Natalie Callahan. These Dolls tend to bear the most striking differences between other Dream Dolls with a number of animal like features. they typically come with tails, snouts, and their antennae are shaped like the ears of the animal they are representing. This is because Natalie is able to defy the length limit for her dolls a bit, just enough to get those extra features in. Stella is an example of just what sorts of features these dolls can take to resemble an animal. though they have a number of abilities in combat, just like any other dream doll, they do tend to adopt a few abilities their animal is known for as well. you can think of these as your more common stuffed animal, in Dream Doll form.

It should be noted however that any doll can develop a natural bond to a certain type of equipment during their creation, it is a trait most commonly seen in Tech, Knight, and Powder Dolls, and others tend not to have as strong a reliance on them as those three. any equipment bound to a doll tends to function as a toy in the waking world. usually feeling and functioning like plastic. though these properties can be altered to their intended ones by the doll that wields it, provided they have the energy to do it.

Biology

The simple form of a Dream Doll is a combination of deliberate design and limitations related to creating Dream Dolls. the primary cause for this is the fact that Dream Dolls begin to lose sensitivity in body parts that extend to far from their consciousness source which is stored in their head.

-The Dream Doll's head houses it's consciousness and functions similarly to that of a human's. it houses two eyes for sight and a mouth for taste. they also have a sense of smell despite not having a nose. their antennae serve as ears as well as offer them the ability to sense the presence of nightmares, other Dream Dolls, and compatibility with potential owners. the Antennae are incredibly sensitive, and often feel good to the doll when stroked.
-The Dream Doll's torso was designed to be long to allow for more storage space for any nightmares consumed since consuming nightmares not only gives the Dream Doll the energy they need, but is also the only way to fully destroy them.
-The short legs are a compromise in favor of more storage space for consumed nightmares.
-the long arms provide more combat ability for a Dream Doll and large hands are useful for interacting with the environment as well as their owners.
-Despite being made of fabric, Dream Dolls wounds stitch themselves back together over time though the process can be sped up greatly if someone stitches the wound for them. upon healing, the thread used for the process will vanish.
-Dream Dolls are filled with a unique stuffing created from Nightmare dust. they will produce more of this by consuming nightmares. inhaling this stuffing however will cause horrible nightmares to the victim unless they are either a Dream Doll or a nightmare.

Psychology

Dream Dolls Exhibit intelligence on level with humans and even have the ability to speak, though their maturity depends on the doll. The personalities and behaviors of Dream Dolls are as varied as they are with human beings, every doll has their own personality that separates them from their peers.

-The maturity level of a Dream Doll is not dependent on the age of the doll, and more the personality the doll possesses. some never seem to grow out of their childish antics regardless of age, yet others will take on a more serious and adult like demeanor. despite any of that however, because a Dream Doll lacks many of the life concerns that plague humans, each doll seems to exhibit a child-like innocence regardless of maturity level or life experiences.
-Dream Dolls bond well with humans and even tend to take on a sibling-like relationship with their owners. dolls will tend to look out for their owners both when dreaming and when they're awake.
-Dream Dolls can also bond well with other dolls. these bonds not only support the dolls morally, but also allow dolls to transfer themselves to their position within the nightmare realm.
-Dream Dolls tend to be created, knowing whatever languages their creator knows.

Obtaining and Storing Energy

Energy is among one one of the most important things for a Dream Doll to enable them to do what they need to do. when a Dream Doll is low on energy, it doesn't cease to function, though it will seem constantly fatigued. to subvert this, it is actually possible for a Dream Doll to consume regular food, and they even have their own tastes and preferences for it, though for long term sustenance, Dream Dolls require a substance known as Nightmare Dust, the building block of everything within the Nightmare realm. though the means to extract this substance are limited, the creatures known as Nightmares are the primary and most practical source. when Nightmare's are consumed, they quickly dissolve into what it refereed to as "raw nightmare dust" this dust will then be processed within the Dream Doll to become usable "refined nightmare dust" which is the energy source a Dream Doll accesses when using their abilities. without it, there is little they can do.

Although consuming Nightmares is nessissary for Dream Dolls, there are concequences for eating too much too quickly. Since raw nightmare dust is stored in the torso before being processed and spread throughout the rest of the body. through this, Dream Dolls can actually grow fat and can eventually even reach the point of immobility, usually when they've grown too large for both feet to touch the ground. in this state Dream Dolls are limited with what they can do in combat, and it's nearly impossible for most to consume more nightmares without assistance.

When a Dream Doll does process this raw nightmare dust, it gets dispersed equally throughout the body as refined nightmare dust. as a result, instead of growing out, they begin to grow up, beyond their initial one foot of height. Dream dolls will typically be able to grow to about five feet tall on average though this varies quite a bit from doll to doll. As a Dream Doll utilizes this energy, they will gradually begin to shrink back down to their original size. Dream Dolls tend to change size quite a bit as a result of this. you can think of the process a bit like this; if a battle goes on for a long time but does not yield much in the way of nightmare dust, the doll will likely shrink. if a dream doll wins a battle without using much energy, they are likely to grow. if a dream doll wins a battle consisting of allot of nightmares or a large one, they will grow fat, then gain a significant increase in height afterwards.

Dream Dolls do have a few other options for obtaining this energy however. as mentioned, human food can help a bit, as well as certain other things within the Nightmare Realm. some plants in the nightmare realm provide a fair bit of energy to get a doll going, as well as other natural sources. Dream Dolls can also consume dream dust, the counterpart to nightmare dust. though the Dream Doll's body doesn't store it, it can provide a quick jolt of energy. also consuming the unique festering nightmare dust will charge up a doll nicely, though too much will cause temporary madness.

Fighting Nightmares

The Dream Doll's primary purpose is to fight an consume the creature's known as Nightmares. to do this, Dream Dolls must enter the world in which they inhabit known as the Nightmare realm. To access it, Dream Dolls can either enter their own form of sleep or enter through their owner's dreams. once here, they will scan for any nightmares in the vicinity with their antennae. if none are found, they will either search for them, join other Dream Dolls in their battles, or play with their owners in their dreams. if nightmares are found, they will enter combat with them utilizing the remarkable powers and abilities they have at their disposal.

Dream Dolls are capable of fighting on land, sea, or air, though the overall effectiveness a doll has on any particular terrain is entirely dependent on their abilities. Dream Dolls are also known for fighting in teams on a regular basis with many of them being able to offer support to others. this is often times nessissary as large nightmare hordes or particularly dangerous opponents tend to show up on a regular basis. despite that however, each doll is at least somewhat capable of fighting on their own since there are plenty of occasions where they need to. Though Dream Dolls tend to do their own thing, even when fighting in groups, they are capable of strategizing when they need to, and some just simply develop good teamwork with others dolls naturally.

powers

Each Dream Doll possesses it's own unique powers ranging from powering up a sword attack, to summoning a giant rose serpent through a forest they conjured. the typical Dream Doll wields a handful of basic powers and one or two special attacks. each ability costs them their stored energy to use, though the degree of which depends on the attack.as would be expected, stronger abilities and specials will requite quite a bit of energy to use, though their more standard attacks can be used with little issue.

Though every doll has some offensive capabilities, when in a team, they will often adopt roles depending on their powers. some Dolls bear strong supportive abilities such as powering up their friends or healing their injuries. others are good at attacking the opponents or protecting others from them, while others are good at disorienting and distracting their enemies. some dolls also function better at certain distances or there is more favorable environment to utilize.

Mortality and Resilience

Though it has yet to be confirmed 100% by the weavers, it is believed that Dream Dolls may very well be immortal. although even the oldest doll has yet to reach the age of the oldest human being, they have yet to show any signs of having an age limit. to further support this, there have never been any records of a Dream Doll dieing after their creation. even being torn to shreds does not seem to cause a Dream Doll to die as they will restore themselves some time after. the only known deaths of Dream Dolls have occurred during their creation process, not after. Dream Dolls are also unaffected by fire (unless produced by nightmares), though they do feel the burning sensation as if they were on fire. they also dry out quickly after being soaked and their fabric is a bit more resilient than human skin. not only do they heal themselves if they get injured, but lost limbs and the like will grow back as well, though these process happen much faster with the help of others.

Dream Dolls can however be defeated in the Nightmare Realm which causes their minds to be returned to their bodies in the waking world without their say so. it can also prevent re-entry for a day or so afterwards, or even incapacitate the doll for a time. though Dream Dolls seem immune to illness in the Waking World, they can occasionally be infected with various conditions and illnesses from within the Nightmare realm, though these are not super common and they can always recover. the recovery process can also be sped up with special medicines.

The Dream Doll Creation Process

Creating a Dream Doll is a tricky and tiring process. To create a Doll, a Weaver must first enter their minds in a semi dreaming state where they can see into the nightmare realm. while in this state, they will be unaware of anything happening around them. it is also a mostly subconscious and instinctual process where the weaver may incorporate their own ideas and designs into the dolls, but in the end, they must make compromises in accordance to how a particular doll 'wants' to be made.

the first order of business is to combine just the right balance of dream and nightmare dust. as the energy from the dream dust and the weaver's own mind fuse with the nightmare dust, the Dream Doll's subconscious will form. from hear the creation of the doll's body begins. reflecting off of the personality of the weaver and their intentions for the doll, the weaver will begin to receive images of how the doll is going to 'want' to turn out, despite the doll its self having limited or no say in how they're going to end up looking. this is why each weaver's dolls take on their own distinct styles and cannot be replicated by other weavers. from here, it is important that the weaver does not stray too far from the pattern presented to them. if they do, the current state of the doll will tear its self apart and the consciousness will be lost. as time goes on, a full consciousness will begin to form and speak to the weaver with a disembodied voice. these conversations usually consist of various questions that one would expect from someone seeing the world for the first time. this is also a bit of a preview to what the personality of the doll will be like upon completion. if the doll is to be bound to certain pieces of equipment, images will begin to flash in the weaver's head, showing the equipment around this point. eventually the doll will reach completion and the consciousness will settle into the head creating a complete Dream Doll. a button is then sewn onto the belly as a symbol of completion. all accessories and gear created for Dream Dolls, weather bound or otherwise must also be forged using materials of the nightmare realm, though bound gear can usually be created after the doll is complete. New dolls will typically be kept with the weavers for a while to be taught a few crucial things before being sent out to find an owner.

As it is, the only documented case of a Dream Doll dieing, is during the creation process when a weaver gets too careless. the Doom weaver knows this all too well as she has lost more dolls than any other weaver, even losing some despite being careful simply because of some form of instability in her psyche. though the weavers never thought much of it at first, losing a doll eventually began to feel like losing a child and is a weaver's worst fear.

the Doll creation process can also be put on hold whenever a weaver needs to take a break.

Dream Doll Ranks

To keep track of the progress of each of the dolls, the weavers created a ranking system to measure just how far along a Dream Doll has become since their creation.

Novice

The novice is the lowest rank of the Dream Dolls. a novice is typically identified as being a new doll who is just beginning their journey through life. a novice is a doll who doesn't quite understand their abilities or their purpose but have an eternity to learn.

Dream Dolls such as Henry and Sir Steven are novices.

Adept

Adept Dolls are Dolls that have begun to understand their purpose well and are becoming quite skilled with understanding their abilities.

Dream Dolls such as Barry, Reece, and Stella are Adepts.

Veteran

Veteran Dolls are Dolls who fully understand their purpose and abilities and are becoming quite good with them.

Dream Dolls such as General Piper and Nemo are Veterans.

Elite

Elite Dolls are Dolls that have impressed the weavers quite a bit with understanding their abilities and preform astoundingly well with them.

Dream Dolls such as Sigfried and Pin are Elites.

Master

Master dolls are dolls that have preformed above and beyond by overcoming a difficult trial that tests the very limits of their abilities.

Currently, the only Master rank Dream Doll in existence is Steiner.

Dream Dolls and their Owners

Owners are among the most important thing to a Dream Doll for a number of reasons. not only do owners provide easy access to nightmares, but a bond between a Dream Doll and an owner actually strengthens the doll as their energies resonate with the emotions of their owners.

The first thing a Dream Doll will typically do when released into the world will usually be to search for an owner. Weavers typically help with this by placing the doll in a location where a doll would have access to a number of potential candidates. when a Dream Doll senses an individual whom they feel they could form a connection with, they will release signals from their antennae to the candidates subconscious in an effort to gain their attention. due to the subtlety of the signal, the candidate may not think much of it, but find themselves compelled to take a look in a certain location. if the two are truly compatible, the candidate will feel a connection to the doll almost immediately and take it with them.

During the first phase of this, the Dream Doll will remain motionless and function just like any other plush toy visibly. they will however still enter the nightmare realm through their owner and protect them from nightmares. they will sometimes even visit their owner in their dreams which could increase the affection between the two. once the Dream Doll feels that their owner is ready for, or actually wants to see the truth of the doll, they will reveal themselves to them as a living creature. though it easily can, and often does, startle their owner, it is the most important step a Dream Doll must make with an owner.

It is after the owner becomes aware of the Dream Dolls that the order of weavers will reveal themselves to the owner, explaining the situation and offering their services so that the owner may actively participate in supporting their doll. this also tends to bring them closer to other Dream Doll owners which helps the doll as well.

Outfitting Dream Dolls

After an owner becomes aware of the reality of their plush friend, the weavers will sell and sometimes give them accessories to outfit their dolls with. these can take the form of weapons, outfits, or various other things that an owner can dress their dolls in such as bows or wigs. though they can also use regular store bought items, they will not appear in the Nightmare Realm like what the weavers make. some dolls do quite like dressing up though and will even be allowed to keep anything they end up liking while still living with the weavers, such as Nemo's coat.

Another, more practical thing Dream Dolls can be outfitted with are various types of stickers that offer various benefits to the Dolls while in the nightmare realm. cheaper ones will typically wear out after a couple uses but more high quality ones can last, seemingly indefinitely.

Secrecy

Despite Dream Dolls being intended for the use of others, the Weavers keep themselves and their dolls nature's very secret. before being released into the world, Dream Dolls are given strict directions to not reveal their real nature before the person whom they are revealing it to is prepared for it. after revealing it, they must then inform their owner that nobody else can know about them without the doll's say so. in the event that someone discovers the nature of the Dream Dolls or the weavers, the weavers posses the ability to make then forget through manipulation of the nightmare realm. though not entirely difficult to do, it can be irritating to do it often or to a bunch of people at once. they also posses limited communication with every doll and can offer suggestions on how to act.

all this secrecy isn't as a result of the group necessarily wanting to be secretive, but they are aware of how disastrous it would be if people found out about this stuff. especially people who would use this power for all the wrong reasons.

remaining inconspicuous has also been made more difficult thanks to their meddling with the nightmare realm. along with giving them eternal life, it has also deformed and disfigured them, causing stitching to form upon joints and various parts of their bodies as well as giving them other features reminiscent of the creatures they make, even giving some of them a button eye. though only painful when it first develops, they eventually become used to their new bodily structures. unfortunately, it has made appearing in public quite difficult as they need to make an effort to cover as much of themselves as they can while trying to remain inconspicuous. fortunately, they have a small community of non weavers living with them who can mingle with society without issue.

History

As the Weavers began to discover more and more of the Nightmare Realm, they began to fear just what sort of power this strange land possessed. seeing the potential threat it posed, the weavers halted their previous projects with the realm and began to focus on ways they could defend against it. though many ideas were thrown around, they decided to start with seeing what they could do with fabric since that is what they had the most experience with when it came to manipulating the Nightmare Realm. though numerous tests and experiments were conducted, nothing they did appeared to be effective in any way. it was after a great number of failures that Carver O'Neil who would later become the Tech weaver, suggested the idea of trying to develop a living creature out of that this land offered. though most of the others had their doubts since the idea involved somehow creating life, Thomas Crane, who would become the Pure Weaver, was all for it, and together, the two of them began their own experiments.

Once again, test after test failed though they noticed that progress was actually being made. they had managed to find a suitable body shape for the dolls, and though they created a number of them, not one of them housed life. eventually however, their efforts began to bear fruit after a new experiment created a seemingly sentient ball of energy. excited from the new development, Carver and Thomas applied their latest body design to the test and after they completed it, they were met with a conscious doll that, with a joyous smile, actually spoke to them.

However, their first success was also their biggest failure. being so early, the actual recipe and techniques for creating an appropriate body were still un-tested, and instead of creating a doll that could destroy and eat nightmares, they created an oozing mess that actually caused them. after discovering their failure, the excitement of success turned to rage and after an argument between Carver and Thomas, Carver took hold of a hatchet and made his way to the doll. despite the protests from Thomas, Carver continued on. Terrified of the hatchet wielding man bearing down upon him, Ooze did the only think he could think to do by covering his hand in the black goop that perpetually oozed from his chest and flung it straight into Carver's eyes before fleeing out the door and into the wilderness. they later named this failed doll Ooze.

After the rage subsided in the following days, the group became demoralized, feeling as though what they were trying to accomplish was impossible. after spending so much time on the project and coming so close, Thomas and Carver got back to work, discovering the cause for Ooze's nightmare causing tendencies was actually a result to an improper balance of nightmare dust and dream dust. after fixing the issue, the first true Dream Doll, Steiner, was born. This final success was enough to get the other weavers on board with the Dream Doll project full time and using the techniques they developed with their own experiments to support them. still a bit outraged by their failure with Ooze, the Weavers tasked Steiner with hunting him down and sent him on his way.

after a few more successful Dream Dolls, the group couldn't help but notice the bond these dolls seemed to develop with them. it was at this time that they figured that they didn't need to keep all these dolls for themselves and that they may be able to help the world by sending them out to find people to care for and protect. the group now not only had a working design but a real purpose for it. if there was one issue that the group still had however, it was that most of them still failed to realize just how human these dolls actually were and, although they weren't treated poorly, they were still never given the love and care they truly wanted or deserved. despite the eventual Doom Weaver, Anette Simmons and Gala Weaver, Suzanne White's realization of this fact and effort to explain it to the others, it took until the first Dream Doll death they've ever truly experienced to realize this.

The first Death came from the eventual Knight Weaver, Briana Taylor as a result of growing frustrated at all the resistance her new doll's pattern was putting up as she tried to force it to look the way she wanted it to. it was also at this point that the consciousness of the dolls began to fully form before the body was completed. as a result, the shrieks of pain from the soon to be doll forever etched themselves into the brain of Briana as it's body tore to shreds in front of her. after this, production on now dolls once again came to a halt. through a combination of no only realizing that these dolls could die, but that they also felt pain. their attention soon turned to the dolls they had already created as they felt a new kind of respect for the creatures. the dolls that they had been creation more out of a form of pride for their discovery suddenly seemed co much more alive now. in an instant, these dolls became more like children to the weavers than experiments, and the idea of losing one became much more difficult to bear. Still, Carver felt that more dolls needed to be made and that a few losses, though painful, were going to be inevitable. eventually, the weaver's got back to work, eventually developing their titles and finally officially becoming "The Dream Weavers".

To this day, the group continues to produce dolls and deliver them wherever they can in hopes that their dolls will find new, loving owners.

Other Terms

the following are just a few other prominent terms. though each one is an article in it's own right, I'll summarize the important bits.

Nightmare Realm

The land of both nightmares and Dreams. when someone sleeps, their subconscious enters the Nightmare realm and forms a structure known as a Dream Bubble around its self to protect it from nightmares. it is within this bubble that the dream takes place. the nightmare realm is massive with many different biomes and locations. It is here that nightmares live and prosper, always looking for another dream to consume. it is also here that the Dream Dolls do battle with the nightmares and their powers can be used to their fullest.

Nightmare

A nightmare is a twisted, shadowy, animalistic creature that inhabits the Nightmare Realm. there are countless numbers of them with varying shapes and sizes. to sustain themselves, they feed off of the emotions of dreamers leaving only fear and other such negative emotions behind. when one breaks through the Dream Bubble it will begin to consume the dream causing a Nightmare to the Dreamer. they come in many different varieties and have many different powers. Dream Dolls are their primary enemy.

Waking World

The waking world is the world people inhabit while they are awake and where their physical body is kept.

Dream Weavers

The Dream Weavers are a group of nine individuals who discovered the presence of the Nightmare Realm and have been experimenting on the applications of it for years. they are also the group responsible for the creation of Dream Dolls as well as a number of other comparatively more mundane inventions connected tot he Nightmare Realm.
